In a world where it seems like everything else is getting bigger, or supersized (to use a popular term), there are other items that seem to be getting smaller. It is now possible to get all kinds of appliances in smaller versions, which weren’t available previously. Some examples of these are mini refrigerators, freezers, and dishwashers, among other things.
Why do you need one of these little guys, you might ask? Actually, many people find that their kitchens are just too small for the huge appliances, and smaller versions of them fit in just perfectly. Other people put them in places where they just need to keep a little bit of stuff cold, such as the office or the dorm room. Let’s take a look at some of these mini appliances.
One of the best new appliances these days is the tabletop dishwasher. These units have really made things easier for a whole group of people: I’m talking about those whose kitchens are too small to fit a full sized dishwasher into them, but hate washing dishes. They don’t have a large capacity, but are perfect for small kitchens.
Another great appliance is the mini refrigerator. There are models that range from the tiniest units meant for carrying around, which are called portable mini refrigerators, to models that are about ½ the size of a large refrigerator. Many people use one of these little fridges in another location in their home, such as in the bar, the garage, or in the basement next to the pool table.
You will usually know right away if your kitchen is too small to accommodate a full size appliance. All you need to do is take a tape measure, write down the dimensions of the location you will need to put the unit, and then go shopping either in a store on online. These days you can easily find a unit that will fit the spot you want to put it.
