Buying Cotton Baby Blankets

June 27, 2010

Whenever were on a rush and shopping for clothes or baby’s stuff we sometimes tend to disregard the quality of it. There are even times were we don’t mind looking at the tag price because of time chasing situation. A lot of busy moms will attest to that! But as you know we really need to find time for buying baby’s stuff even if we have other things to do.

I don’t go impulsively for cheap brands but I also consider if it may sooth my baby’s sensitive skin. Many cotton blankets are sold in the market now, but how can we be sure if it’s the best for our babies?

Let me give you tips for buying cotton baby blankets. We need to stop thinking that just because something costs more that its the best products, the fabric itself should justify the quality of a blanket.

Big bucks could be wasted for seemingly tempting blankets that offer nothing but low quality materials which have been poorly constructed.

Cotton baby blanket is best for babies, its soft cloth fits for warm and cold weather conditions. But we should also check if their hypo allergenic fabric because we don’t want to risk our baby’s health.

Now, we give conditions in purchasing right? So, designs are also essential. Since they are babies, they are attracted to bright colors and it is also good for their vision and brain function. Why not? There is wide variety of designs and styles for you to choose from just give a mommy’s approval to it and then off you go.

I remember buying a baby blanket a year ago, a floral printed blanket caught my eyes at big awe! I really find it cute for my little girl so right there and then I bought it even if it was so expensive. I was so excited that night that she’s finally using it. A week after I washed the floral blanket I was shocked that it faded and the colored dyes are mixed with the water.

I got so upset with the result of impulsive buying. So what I learned from the experience was that quality comes first.
